New Release “Mitzvah the Mutt” is a Wagging Good Tail

(St. Paul, MN, August 11, 2010) Matzah balls were never meant for a game of fetch, but try telling that to Mitzvah the Mutt when a Jewish family rescues him. Mitzvah’s silly antics charm his family, and his humorous misinterpretations of the Jewish holidays will leave readers laughing and begging for more. Get ready for a howling good time as Mitzvah celebrates Shabbat, Hanukkah and Passover.

Mitzvah the Mutt, an early children’s chapter book that’s got plenty of humor and not a single flea, is now available for sale. Written by award-winning California author Sylvia Rouss and illustrated by Minnesota artist Martha Rast, Mitzvah the Mutt also makes a great read-aloud story for younger children, according to a review by the Association of Jewish Libraries. The book is written for children of all backgrounds and beliefs and most appropriate for ages five to nine.

Both Sylvia Rouss and Martha Rast are available for interview and comment and for book signings in their local areas. Contact details available on request to Yaldah Publishing.
